Hail Mary. I saw one article that suggested that there was still something for Democrats to be nervous about. The article talked about an increase in registration among Trump's strongest demographics...white uneducated men. Somehow that registration step doesn't make me nervous that this will ultimately translate into votes. I got my confirmation today that my vote had been both received and accepted. It felt good to get this acknowledgement. Getting an acknowledgement was never something I thought I needed. But I did this time around.
If you read my last post you'll see that I'm predicting big news by the end of day tomorrow. That hasn't happened so far. There was a bit of fake news that purported to deliver new insight into Hunter Biden's dealings with Ukraine but much to the campaign's chagrin it hasn't gotten much attention. Social media is making it harder to disrupt the last few weeks and the percentage of voters that are undecided at this point are small (about 3%). And a word about those undecided voters. You show me an undecided voter and I'll show you an idiot which probably means potentially a 3 point bump for Trump because he seems to attract the idiot demographic.
Watch the news...the Trump Hail Mary play is coming...at least I think he'll try because even he can see the writing on his wall.

The Circus. I remember as a young child seeing the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus. It was a grand event that made my eyes bulge both as a child and later as an adult when I took my children to the circus. The history of the circus is one of competition. Every year it had to be bigger, grander and more unbelievable to draw us in every year. It was certainly grand, but I clearly remember as a young child hating one aspect of the circus. No, it wasn't the cotton candy. No, it wasn't the overwhelming smell of elephant poop or later motorcycle exhaust. No, it wasn't the scary clowns. I hated the fact that they had three acts happening at the same time. The whole concept of a three ring circus, in my opinion, was flawed because I'm not a great multi-tasker. Last night on competing networks Trump and Biden held town halls at the exact same time forcing either a choice or, what I did, try to watch both rings at the same time. I failed and watched reruns instead, but it occurred to me that if there was any doubt about the circus that is politics, this was the last straw in my opinion that it was a circus and hard to figure out what to focus on. I suspect that distraction and confusion is a big part of someone's overall plan.
