The Final Act. Like any good play, the final act always has a few big surprises. The president catching the virus seems to have trumped all other news stories and as we close in on election day we should expect a few more surprises. He isn't going down without a fight. He is going down. I expect a fight. The discussion today is around his mental competence and whether he is even qualified to lead the country right now. He called democrats' VP a "monster" based on nothing more than racism. He is busily infecting his staff insisting that he is not contagious. He claims to be cured and to have found the cure for everyone. His claims are baseless and more importantly they are dangerous. We're beyond discouraging masks at this point. He refuses to tell us when he last tested negative opting for his medical privacy over the ability to protect the people he has exposed. He clearly said yesterday he wouldn't negotiate on a stimulus bill immediately after the Fed Chairman insisted that we needed it and if anything it should be too big instead of too small. And then he changed his mind. He does seem a little mad. Creating a panel responsible for evaluating the mental capacity of our leader is not such an unreasonable idea. This is definitely a movie that is teetering on not relatable and not believable and yet here we are. The polls are moving for the first time in a while and it's away from Trump. What's next? There will be a next. And if the past is a prediction of the future, what's next is likely to be even more remarkable than any of this. Stay safe. Our leader has lost it.
