Goodbye Golden Gate Fields

Sadly horse racing seems to be a dying sport. While 100 years ago nothing was bigger in the world of sport, today the land is worth more used other ways. As a result, Golden Gate Fields, the Bay Area's last race track, will close at the end of this season. The men in the family paid a last visit and enjoyed a full day of racing along with the 99 other people who shoed up on a Saturday.

While not at our track, we saw that "J Dutton" raced for a second place finish and gave us all a chance to remember June Dutton.
