My Christmas present from Scott was a day trip to Sugar Bowl. We departed at 5:00am while Greg drove and Scott slept. We arrived for a prime parking space so someone's old bones wouldn't have to walk too far at the end of the day. We managed to fit this trip in between storms and while a bit crunchy early on, the weather warmed and we enjoyed incredibly forgiving snow as we pounded the double black diamonds. As always, we count runs to ensure to ensure that we get our money's worth and on this day with minimal crowds we packed in 20 runs for a cost of just $3.40 per run. A bargain for so much fun. Sugar Bowl is one of the oldest resorts in California and was originally opened in 1939 by Walt Disney. We were home by 6:30 with a warm dinner of fish tacos awaiting us.
