Golden Gate Park
It was a sparkling Chamber of Commerce day in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park today. We started our day in the warm sun at the Japanese Tea Garden where we smiled for the camera and snacked on hot tea and crackers. Then we stopped for a outdoor concert which included some Tijuana Brass before making our way to the De Young Museum to see the Chihuly glass exhibit. It was stunning and comes highly recommended by this occasional museum goer. The museum encouraged photographs (no flash) and virtually everyone was snapping away some with expensive equipment but many with their camera phone. We took a quick walk through the main exhibit and I was really captivated by this painting. Not satisified that we had had enough of the day we took a drive through the newly renovated Ft. Baker before dining on the water in Sausalito. Not bad for a Monday!
