First, a stop at the Petrified Forrest

Safari West is a 400 acre private reserve that is home to hundreds of African animals. It's described as a Tent Camp, but the tents provide every luxury except for limited ability to keep the chill out.  We traveled the grounds visiting the animals as they roam free on the property (most of them roam free). For anyone who loves watching these magnificent animals this family run facility an hour north of San Francisco is an incredible destination.
