Thursday Night Tennis

We enjoyed a pleasant evening watching Osaka vs. Gauff in the Silicon Valley Tennis Classic. A small venue, with lots of power and an intimate backyard feel. The tennis and the crowd were supportive of both sides as two players who have wrestled with mental demons put their battle for consistency on the line. As always, I enjoy the doubles the most. The fast pace, the evolving chess-like strategy and the fact that two-thirds of the crowd disappears so that everyone has a perfect seat, all make this a great time out. Well worth staying up past my bedtime for!
