Lake Tahoe Vacation

Linda joined us for some summer fun at Lake Tahoe. The boys got their first taste of water skiing only to discover just how cold that water gets if you spend more time in the water instead of on top of the water. Kevin returned for a second lesson and didn't fall once, while Scott and Greg perfected their JetSki techniques.

The boys went golfing in Tahoe City at the same instant a forest fire broke out less than a mile away. Eve called every few minutes with reports as to the fire's proximity and intensity from her vantage point back home in front of the TV. The boys however weren't willing to cut short their golfing despite a smokey course. We returned for a second round a few days later and heard that another fire broke out in Truckee...we've given up golf for a while.

Linda and the boys played a serious game of Monopoly to the bitter end. Linda and Greg went gambling and both walked out as winners. While there are no fishers in this family, we perfected our ability to convince crawdads to latch onto our raw bacon tied to a string on a stick.

There were plenty of water activities (hot, cold and warm), daily tennis, mini-golf and some serious croquet action (one of the best games ever invented).
